Guide

How to make a UPI QR code

Since 1 October 2025, UPI apps can no longer send a person a “request money” collect request. So when someone owes you, a QR is the simplest way to ask. They scan it, the amount is already there if you set one, and the money goes from their bank to yours.

Start with your UPI ID and the name to print. Fix the amount, or leave it open so one QR works for every payment. Before you share it, scan it with your own UPI app: it shows the name your bank holds for that ID, so someone else’s name means a typo. Riffit is not affiliated with NPCI.
