Contracts and e-signing
Making a contract on the dashboard, and exactly what your client does to sign one — including the six-digit code that makes signing different from accepting.

Contracts are the one document you make on the dashboard rather than in chat. Signing needs a screen, and so does writing the thing being signed.
Free accounts get 3 contracts, lifetime rather than monthly. Pro is unlimited.
Making one
Start from scratch, or from a quote your client already accepted. Starting from a quote carries the client and the work across, so a contract that follows an accepted quote is mostly already filled in.
The wizard walks the parts: who it is between, the scope, the pricing, the terms. The last step is Sign & send, which is you signing your half and sending it to your client.
What your client does
They get a link. No account.
- They read it, and tick to say they have.
- Sign contract opens a panel with two options: type their name, or draw it with a mouse or a finger.
- Typing offers a few handwriting faces to pick from.
- Then Verify it's you. Riffit sends a six-digit code to the number or email the contract went to, and they enter it.
- Signed.
The code is the difference between this and a quote. Accepting a quote asks once and takes the tap. Signing a contract asks who you are first.
What happens to the record
Every signature produces a record, and revising a signed contract does not erase it. That is its own article: The contract record.
