The settings worth doing once

Five minutes in Settings that stop you retyping the same things on every invoice, and which of them are on the free plan.

2 min read · Video 1:53 · Updated 2026-09-08

Most of Settings is things you fill in once and never think about again. They land on every document after it.

You can get there from chat too: type setup.

Profile

Your name and business name. Whichever you set as the business name is what prints on the invoice as the sender, so a studio name goes here. Leave it and your own name is used.

Business address, PAN, GST number. All optional, all printed when present. If you are not GST registered, leave the GST field empty and nothing about GST appears on the document.

UPI ID. The one that matters most. It is what the Pay via UPI button on your client's invoice points at, so an invoice sent without it has no pay button. The money goes from their bank to yours, and this field is the only place your ID lives.

Bank details. For clients who pay by transfer rather than UPI. Printed on the invoice when set.

Invoices

Default payment terms. Sets the due date on every new invoice. Change it here rather than editing the date each time.

Invoice footer note. Free text that prints at the bottom of every invoice. "Late fee 1.5% per month" is the usual one.

Your logo and brand colour live here too, and both are Pro. Everything else on this page is on the free plan.

Reminders

This page splits by plan, and it is worth being straight about how.

On the free plan you get one switch: send a reminder on the due date. One email, on the day, and that is the whole of it.

On Pro you get the schedule. Reminders before the due date, on it, and a series after it, with the gaps set by you. There is a master switch over the top so you can turn the lot off for a quiet month.

Either way, reminders go to the client's email. Sending them over WhatsApp is a Pro thing.

Plan

What you are on, what it costs, and what changes if you move. Also where you cancel, which is deliberately not hidden.

Free is 5 invoices a month, 5 clients, and 3 contracts lifetime. Quotes are unlimited on both.

Privacy

Your data, exported or deleted. Nothing about it needs setting up.

The two-minute version

If you do nothing else: set your UPI ID and your payment terms. The first one is what makes an invoice payable. The second stops you picking a date over and over for the rest of the year.

It is the only way I know which guides are working.
