Saving a document and sending it are two separate steps. Nothing reaches your client until you choose how.
Email works on every plan. Sending to your client on WhatsApp is Pro. That is the whole rule, and it is the same for invoices, quotes and contracts.
Where you send from
Invoices and quotes, from either place. In chat, once you save, Riffit asks how your client should get it: email or later on Free, and WhatsApp as well on Pro. On the dashboard, Send gives you the same choice.
Contracts, from the dashboard only, as the last step of making one.
Later keeps the document as a draft. drafts in chat, or the dashboard, brings it back when you are ready.
What each channel carries
| By email, every plan | On WhatsApp, Pro | |
|---|---|---|
| Invoice | The PDF attached, and a link to the invoice page | A message with the amount, and a button that opens the invoice page |
| Quote | A link to the quote page | A message with the amount and the valid-until date, and a button that opens the quote page |
| Contract | The signing link, then the six-digit code when your client signs | The same, on WhatsApp |
| Receipt, when you record a payment | A receipt by email | A receipt on WhatsApp as well |
The invoice page is where your client pays by UPI and downloads the PDF, so an invoice on WhatsApp loses nothing by arriving as a link. What your client sees, and how they pay walks through that page.
On the dashboard, an invoice can go by email and WhatsApp at once. A quote or a contract goes by one channel, the one you pick, and for a contract the signing code follows it.
What your client needs
An email address for email, a phone number for WhatsApp. If the one you picked is missing, Riffit asks you for it before sending rather than failing quietly. You can add either to the client on the dashboard at any time.
Your own copy
When you make an invoice or a quote in WhatsApp, its PDF lands in your own chat first, before anything goes to your client.
When your client opens an invoice you sent, Riffit tells you on WhatsApp, on every plan. Opening your own link, in a browser where you are signed in to Riffit, does not count as your client's visit.
