Your services

Save what you sell once, then pick it instead of typing it. What archiving does, and why an old invoice never changes.

Most freelancers sell the same handful of things. Riffit can hold them, so making an invoice is a pick rather than a retype.

Saving one

Settings → Your Services → Add a service. A name is all you have to give.

FieldWhat it does
NameWhat you call it. This is what shows on the invoice
RateOptional. Leave it blank and Riffit asks each time
Per whatOptional. hour, day, piece, month, project, or your own word
What it coversOptional. A line under the name on the document

Free saves 3 services. Pro has no limit.

Using one

On the dashboard, click the description on a new invoice or quote and your services appear with their rates. Pick one and the name, the rate and the detail fill themselves.

In WhatsApp, the invoice and quote forms have a Service picker under each item. Pick one and the details and the rate fill in from what you saved, ready to send or to change for this one document. Pick New service and you type the line in, as before.

Two words work in chat on their own:

TypeWhat happens
servicesLists what you have saved, with rates
add serviceOpens a short form to save one

You can also say bill Rahul for logo design and Riffit uses the saved rate.

Billing something new

Bill something you have not saved and Riffit offers to keep it once the document is made. One tap and it is in the list. The offer is about the document you just made, so it does not follow you around.

Archiving

There is no delete, and that is on purpose.

Archiving takes a service out of the pickers. Every invoice and quote that used it still reads exactly as it did, because a document copies the name and the price at the moment it is made. Nothing is looked up again later.

That is also why editing a service never changes a document you already sent. Change your rate today and yesterday's invoice still says yesterday's number.

Type an archived name into a new invoice and Riffit says so, and offers to bring it back at whatever you just typed.

Archiving is also how you make room on Free. Three active services is the limit, and archiving one frees a slot.

It is the only way I know which guides are working.
