Creating a quote in WhatsApp

Send a price before the work starts, to someone who is not a client yet. The form, the validity date, and the one tap your client needs.

3 min read · Video 1:18 · Updated 2026-09-08

Someone asks what you would charge. Send Riffit the word quote and it sends back a form.

Quotes are unlimited on every plan. There is no monthly cap on them.

The form

Almost the same one invoices use, with one field they do not have.

Client. Your existing clients, with New client at the bottom. A quote usually goes to somebody who has not hired you yet, so that last row is the one you will reach for. Picking it opens a name field, and an email you can leave blank and add later.

What you'll do. Future tense, because that is what a quote is.

Details, Qty, Rate. Same as an invoice. Rate is per unit, quantity defaults to 1.

Add another item, up to five.

Discount. None, a flat amount, or a percentage.

Valid for. 7, 15, 30 or 45 days. This is the field that makes a quote a quote, and 15 days is the default.

Tapping Review quote shows you everything back, with Valid until and a real date at the bottom. Save Quote, Edit, Cancel.

Nothing is stored until you save.

What your client gets

A link. No account, no app, no login.

The page shows your quote in full, and one button: Accept this quote. Tapping it asks once, "Accept this quote?", and a Yes, accept confirms it. That is the whole thing.

There is no code to enter. A quote is not a signature, so charging your client six digits to say yes would tax the exact step you want to be easy. Contracts are different and do ask for one.

Under that button, a quieter link: Request changes. It opens a box where they say what they want moved. It is deliberately not a button of equal weight, because most of the time you want a yes rather than a negotiation.

There is no Decline. Not a hidden one, not a disabled one. The whole idea was removed in August 2026. A client who does not want the work says so in Request changes, which keeps the conversation open instead of ending it with a dead status.

After they answer

Either way, Riffit messages you.

If they accepted, you can turn the quote into an invoice or a contract from the same chat. If they asked for changes, their note comes through with it and you can revise from the dashboard.

The faster way, if you are on Pro

Describe it in a sentence instead:

Quote Meera 40k for the brand identity work

Riffit reads the client, the amount and the work out of that, and lands you on the same preview. That path is Pro and capped at 10 messages a day. The form is on every plan and has no cap.

Was this helpful?

It is the only way I know which guides are working.
